About the escape room
In Necronomicon you must unravel the mystery surrounding Dieter’s recent death. Can you do it?
“After many years of work, the keeper of the Necronomicon has finally passed away. He left everything — come to my house.”
This shouldn’t surprise you, except that the person who sent you this note is none other than your neighbor Dieter, the one who spent long hours with you.
Although you never spoke about it openly, all your suspicions are beginning to make sense now, like pieces of a great puzzle magically assembling before your eyes. So many years locked away in that house, never going out for a moment, can only have one explanation.
Dieter was guarding something, a secret that kept him awake at night. Could that something be the mysterious book called the Necronomicon they talked about that rainy night when alcohol loosened his tongue?
It all sounded like the ramblings of an old drunk, words that read more like a story spun by someone seeking drama in his imagination to prolong a conversation, but what if it were true?
You only remember a few pointed things the old man said that night:
“the book was written by a mad Arab named Abdul Alhazred who died soon after reading it”
“the text was banned for many years, but a Danish antiquarian found a copy written in Latin”
“reading the book only leads the reader to madness”
and many other inconsistencies that of course never seemed relevant to you until now.
Dieter was always very generous with you, although it was odd that someone so cut off from the world could give you so many things. Trips around the world, ancient books — he seemed to enjoy afternoons playing chess or any pastime that kept loneliness at bay; your company was clearly something he valued.
Now that Dieter is gone, you can only honor his last wish and enter the house.
Are the legends of the Necronomicon real?
Will you be able to face the unknown?
